Description; Keraflow 1900 is probably the highest temperature Tabular alumina castable developed to date. It contains no silica. Conventional castables containing tabular alumina are also silica free, but need high water contents. Keraflow 1900 can be vibration cast at only +3,8% water, and FLOWS SELF-LEVELLING @ +4,5% WATER. Consequently the strength is exceptionally high. Mix intensively for at least 4 minutes.
Physical properties; (5 hours soak)
|Density g/cm³||CCS MPa||P.L.C. %||Hot MoR MPa||Porosity|
|Air dry||3,2||20 to 30||0|
|110ºC||3,2||40 to 100||0||12%|
|800ºC||3,16||50 to 120||0|
|1000ºC||3,14||40 to 70||-0,02|
|1500ºC||3,13||100 to 250||-0,03||16||16%|
|1650ºC||3,20||120 to 280||-0,44||14%|
The variation in strength is due to different water contents.
Applications: Just about any application where the temperature is extremely high or the chemical or physical environment is too severe for normal materials.
Packaging; 25kg clear polyethylene bags.
